Job Summary
Conduct accurate receiving, loading, storing, and executing of shipment orders while maintaining neat, clean warehouse areas. Count inbound products, verify weights against manifests, and report discrepancies. Put away items safely to maximize space usage and ensure correct labeling on outbound cargo. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, squeeze machines, and shrink-wrap equipment to transport orders and move product into delivery vehicles. Maintain equipment, perform physical inventories and cycle counts, and key inventory adjustments into the company system. Communicate professionally with internal teams and service providers, and complete all necessary federal and company security guidelines. Execute updates in computer systems via operational tools and sign documents to ensure proper record keeping.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school degree
- 6 months or more direct experience in a similar position
- Must be able to read
- Must be able to count accurately
- Must be able to do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply)
- Must be able to write legibly
- Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- Must be able to twist
- Must be able to stoop
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to crouch on a frequent basis
- Must be able to use proper lifting techniques with weights up to 40lbs
- Must be able to follow directions with emphasis on safety
- Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements
- Must be able to shift priorities easily
- Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements
- Must have excellent work habits
- Fork-lift certification
