Job Summary
Warehouse Agent - Air Cargo role at Washington Dulles International (IAB) location. Responsible for loading/unloading air cargo, moving cargo between terminals and aircraft, building cargo for outbound flights, breaking down cargo from imports, and transporting cargo to/from aircraft. May operate forklift and pallet jacks, verify piece count, weight, and dimensions, and ensure proper documentation. Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge, English proficiency, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens
- Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle stress in a high-noise fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Some travel may be required for airline specific training
- Schedule: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
- Responsibilities include: Moving air cargo within designated warehouses; Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers; Build up cargo for outbound flights; Break down cargo from import flights; Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semi-trucks; May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks; Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents; May transport cargo to and from aircraft driving a 3,000 lb vehicle
