Job Summary
Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System and perform cycle counts to investigate discrepancies. Monitor FEFO compliance, verify lot numbers and expiration dates, and identify slow-moving or at-risk inventory to recommend corrective actions. Coordinate inventory transfers, support container receiving, and communicate shortages with Warehouse, Sales, and Purchasing teams. Generate inventory reports and implement process improvements while adhering to food safety and workplace procedures. Primarily office-based with occasional refrigerated environment exposure; shift runs 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Located in Troy, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Operations, or a related field
- Previous experience in warehouse administration, inventory management, food distribution, or supply chain
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar)
- Strong Microsoft Excel and computer proficiency
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of inventory control, FEFO, product rotation, and warehouse operations
- Ability to work onsite in Troy, Michigan
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Operations, or a related field
- Previous experience in warehouse administration, inventory management, food distribution, or supply chain
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of inventory control, FEFO, product rotation, and warehouse operations
- Experience with product allocation, substitutions, or food distribution
- Previous experience in Indian grocery, restaurant, or food distribution
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Hindi)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
