Job Summary
Part-time Ward Clerk at The Oregon Clinic's GI Endoscopy Center in Southwest Portland. Temporary position anticipated to be until September 2026 and non-benefits eligible. 8-24 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, based at the Peterkort Centre. Primary duties include preparing and cleaning pre- and post-procedure bays, stocking and maintaining patient care supplies, assembling and maintaining patient-ready bed and linen packs, assisting with endoscope reprocessing per protocols, collaborating with nursing and technical staff to support patient flow and safety, maintaining a clean and safe environment per infection prevention standards, participating in quality improvement, safety, and ongoing training initiatives, and other duties as assigned. Salary range: $22.65 - $30.65 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare, ambulatory surgery center, outpatient clinic, environmental services, or patient support role.
- Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and independently while supporting patient flow and operational needs in a high-volume outpatient setting.
- Ability to maintain clean, safe, and patient-ready care spaces.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage supplies, linens, and equipment inventories.
- Ability to identify and report safety, equipment, or facility concerns.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn departmental systems and processes.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
