Job Summary
Spend quality time with clients through meaningful conversations, reading aloud, playing games, or sharing hobbies to combat loneliness and stimulate mental well-being. Provide safe transportation and companionship to appointments, social outings, community events, or errands such as grocery shopping. Offer cheerful company during mealtimes while assisting with light meal planning and preparation. Help maintain a comfortable living environment with light housekeeping, tidying, and organizing. Gently remind clients to take medications according to their prescribed schedules and encourage participation in hobbies, puzzles, walks, or other engaging activities. Observe and report any notable changes in clients' demeanor, routines, or well-being to the care team, accurately documenting visits and observations. This role focuses primarily on social interaction and light household assistance for individuals in Conway, AR, offering full-time, part-time, and PRN positions.
Required Qualifications
- Task completion and documentation skills a must.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a companion role, volunteering, or simply caring for an elderly loved one is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- A compassionate and empathetic attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment and follow care plan guidelines accordingly.
