Job Summary
Establish open communication with seniors and their families while assisting with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and transportation. Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding, and medication reminders. Deliver companionship and friendship to seniors and loved ones in autonomous, semi-autonomous, and total care conditions. Manage activities of daily living to maintain client autonomy. Walk-in interviews are held Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 530 Kenaston Blvd Ste 344, Winnipeg, MB R3N 1Z4. Health Care Aide certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Health Care Aide certification required
- Access to reliable transportation
- Valid insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a reference check
- Ability to reliably travel to client homes and office location(s)
- Ability to safely perform client transfers with weight-bearing requirements
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as an HCA, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar position
