Job Summary
Serve resident meals and assist with plating appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts while ensuring settings remain clean and portions are controlled. Take patient orders, read menus to assist selections, and buss tables at the end of service in accordance with the Director of Food Service guidelines. This part-time role covers Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4pm to 8pm. The Bristal Assisted Living values compassionate hospitality with a higher purpose, offering a luxury dining experience designed to enrich the quality of life for our senior residents.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry
- Able to function in a fast-paced environment
- Have a strong ability to multi-task
- Possesses good communication, customer service and people skills
- Is professional, patient and able to satisfy a demanding customer base
- Must always be reliable, caring and gentle in actions and demeanor
- Maintains an abiding respect for the elderly and remains calm at all times
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with a senior population is preferred, but not required
- Is a team player, willing to help out where needed to ensure a pleasurable dining experience
- Familiarity with food safety, food preparation and board of health guidelines is a plus
- Is able to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways
