Job Summary
Waitstaff responsible for prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to community residents in dining rooms and activities; maintain cleanliness and appearance; protect resident confidentiality; accommodate dietary needs; set up dining rooms; obtain food and supplies; distribute/store dishes; follow safe, sanitary food handling and infection-control guidelines; assist in food preparation and related duties; adhere to safety and loss-prevention procedures; may fill in for other dining room or wait staff as requested; must work safely and be mindful of residents' safety; comply with background screening requirements (Florida Level 2).
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in “front of the house operations” within restaurant, hotel, club or similar environment
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
- Background Screening Requirement in Florida (Level 2)
