Job Summary
Waitstaff responsible for prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to all community residents in dining rooms and activities; maintain appearance and cleanliness of dining rooms and waitress stations; ensure safe, sanitary food handling and adherence to dietary needs; setup and maintain dining room, obtain food and supplies, distribute and store clean dishes, assist in food preparation as directed, perform cleaning in dining room/kitchen/serving areas, mop floors, follow safety and infection control guidelines, and participate in required training and safety procedures; ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and staff; must disclose any medication that might impair performance; commitment to resident safety and CORE Values.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in “front of the house operations” within restaurant, hotel, club or similar environment
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
- Must have patience, tact, and cheerful disposition
- Background Screening Requirement: Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
