Job Summary
Provide beverage services to Vicar's Landing Main Dining Room, Lounge, and catered events by preparing and mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the Drink Mixing Guide. Manage Member's Lounge charges by assigning, tallying them daily, and completing the liquor usage sheet while assisting with weekly inventory and ordering. Deliver courteous service to residents and guests, interpret menu selections and specials, and maintain safe, sanitary work areas. Set tables, clean and sanitize the Cocktail Lounge and Bar, and complete assigned side work as instructed by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to successfully complete responsible vendor program as required
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to follow oral instructions in English
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-pound service tray 50 feet
- Must be able to bend and pick up items from the floor
- Must be able to reach above head to remove items from shelf
- Ability to work in close cooperation with Members, guests and staff with courtesy, tact, and graciousness
- Must possess fundamental understanding of hospitality
- Must possess fundamental understanding of customer service
- Must possess fundamental understanding of table service technique
- Must possess fundamental understanding of personal hygiene
- Must possess fundamental understanding of professional appearance
- Must have excellent balance
- Must be able to climb a ladder
- Must be able to walk around a roof

Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others
- 12 to 18 months related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
