Job Summary
As a Waiter at One&Only Cape Town, you will be responsible for taking care of the tables in your section and delivering the best possible service. You must multi-task, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure, communicating effectively with guests and all staff. You will explain the Nobu concept, understand dish timing, read guests’ needs, take orders accurately, follow up on orders, carry trays and plates confidently, and maintain knowledge of the food menu and the bar/sake bar products. You may be asked to perform other duties as required, and shifts are involved. Fluent English is required, and you should have 2 years of experience in a similar role, with strong beverage knowledge and the ability to work under pressure and multitask.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity
- To be able work well under pressure and able to work shifts
- To be able to communicate effectively and do multi tasks
- Strong beverage knowledge
- Read tables and understand guests’ needs
- Have full knowledge of the food menu
- Have full knowledge of the bar and sake bar products
