Job Summary
Set up function rooms and bars by reviewing contracts, assembling supplies, and ensuring all glassware, china, and equipment are clean and defect-free. Provide service during catered events, including sit-down dinners, buffets, and butler-style bar service, while maintaining constant flow and keeping stations stocked with ice and beverages. Clean rooms and bars post-event by removing dirty equipment, counting inventory, and returning contracts to supervisors. Perform related tasks such as picking up bread orders, delivering supplies, and maintaining linen rooms and catering offices. Notify management of shortages, spills, or defective equipment, and attend required training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Prior catering or restaurant service experience
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to understand and carryout simple oral and written instructions required
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience in a catering or restaurant service environment
