Job Summary
Lead and manage the Produce Department at Cornerstone Co-op's Wainwright location. Oversee ordering, receiving, inventory, merchandising, shrink control, pricing, signage, rotation, and presentation to meet freshness and quality standards. Plan and execute promotions, displays, and marketing initiatives to drive sales; provide coaching and training to the Produce team; manage scheduling and performance management; ensure safety and compliance, complete administrative tasks, inspections, and reporting; actively assist on the sales floor and support workflow across shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 education
- Experience in retail grocery, produce, or leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to complete required background checks including Criminal Record Check and credit check
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical demands of fast-paced retail environment
- Strong leadership skills and coaching/ development of team
- Customer-focused with excellent service orientation
- Ability to manage scheduling, merchandising, pricing, and presentation according to standards
