Job Summary
Pick, pack, load, and ship orders while reviewing special instructions and utilizing the Branch Locator system for accurate transactions. Receive and inspect incoming materials from Victaulic subsidiaries, customers, and vendors, then maintain inventory through cycle counts and good management practices. Perform housekeeping duties, assist "will call" customers, and complete other tasks assigned by the Distribution Manager or Distribution Center Coordinator. Handle consistent heavy lifting of up to 45 lbs throughout the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment while adhering to all safety guidelines and PPE practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer literacy
- Minimum of 3 years prior warehouse experience
- Basic inventory management skills
- Ability to perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Previous forklift experience
- Forklift certifications for all required equipment
- Ability to accurately pick and pack orders
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- Must demonstrate job stability and reliability (no job-hopping)
- Punctuality (at workstation and ready to work at shift start time with no grace period)
- Coachable, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Must be flexible and willing to work in any role within the warehouse
- Being adaptable and trainable
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with forklift-mounted computers and barcode scanners
