Job Summary
Greet and check in patients with a warm demeanor, capturing insurance, keying information, and collecting co-pays while scanning documents. Communicate frequently with internal clinical and billing staff, utilizing multiple computer systems to text, email, and input data accurately. Engage with patients and team members to resolve customer problems, mastering medical terminology and practice software as you learn new tools. This role requires a valid Texas driver's license, bilingual Spanish skills at specific locations, and the ability to travel between satellite clinics using personal or company vehicles. Schedules are assigned monthly, with hourly pay ranging from $18 to $22 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's license with an unrestricted and clear driving record
- Will need to provide proof of personal vehicle insurance
- Bilingual in Spanish is required at specific locations
- Strong interpersonal skills such as effective listening, clear communication, effective customer problem resolution, with a warm and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships in a rewarding, high-paced, and sometimes high-stress environment
- Knowledge and efficient use of multiple computer systems to text, email, and input information into practice systems, browsers, and scanners
- Open to learn new software for quick & accurate keyboarding and data entry
- Always willing to learn while on the job, mastering medical terminology & practice software
- Be committed, ready to go on time every day, making a difference for our patients
- Sitting, standing, and walking for up to 4-6 hours a day
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to twenty-five pounds on occasion
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
