W. Geo/AP Human Geo - Boys Coach

Job Summary
Teach and coach at the high school level, delivering core academic instruction in World Geography/AP Human Geography and supervising boys’ athletics/clubs. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum, assess student learning, collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs, and manage classroom behavior while supporting extracurricular activities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, Texas teaching certificate with endorsements, CPR/AED certification for PE staff, and prior student teaching or internship experience. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to plan, instruct, and evaluate student growth in accordance with district and Texas Education Agency guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training/work experience for certification waivers under the DOI
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area
- CPR/AED certification for Physical Education teachers (if applicable)
- Student teaching or approved internship or related work experience
