Job Summary
Drive VM Ops & Automation by leading initiatives to automate repetitive vulnerability management tasks, including scan orchestration, data normalization, and remediation tracking. Develop backend integrations using Python, FastAPI, GraphQL, and REST APIs to connect security tools with internal databases, while querying large datasets to provide actionable insights into the organization's vulnerability posture. Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to integrate patching workflows, document automated security playbooks, and evaluate emerging technologies for API integration. Apply cybersecurity frameworks like NIST and CIS to automate compliance checks and assist in investigating security alerts to analyze root causes.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with a focus on software development/systems
- Hands-on experience with programming languages
- Solid understanding of database structures (SQL/NoSQL) and data manipulation
- Comfortable working with various API architectures, including REST, GraphQL, and FastAPI
- Basic understanding of how infrastructure teams operate, including network protocols, systems administration, and endpoint management
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify manual gaps and solve them through programmatic automation
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced security operations environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical processes and collaborating across engineering squads
- Ability to manage assigned automation projects independently and follow through on complex technical deliverables
