Job Summary
Telos Corporation seeks a VTC Specialist/VTC Technician 4 in the greater Frederick, MD area with responsibilities including design, implementation and operation of VTC systems, site surveys for device placement, network testing and issue resolution, and documentation upkeep. The role requires support for 24/7 operations, DoD/ Public Trust clearance eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II compliance, and certifications such as CCNA, CWNP, or BICSI being highly desirable. The candidate must have high school plus specialized training and 5-6 years of experience (or equivalent), strong technical writing skills, familiarity with LAN/WAN/vTC environments, and physical requirements including the ability to lift 40 lbs and climb ladders, plus willingness to drive and work variable shifts. The position is U.S. citizenship restricted for access to sensitive information and participates in E-Verify.
Required Qualifications
- Public Trust and/or DoD Secret Clearance
- High School plus specialized training and 5-6 years of experience; or equivalent education/experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II compliance
- CCNA, CWNP, or BICSI certifications highly desirable
- Strong technical writing skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Visio
- Familiarity with telecommunication room standards, CAT6 and fiber cabling, and wiring practices
- Experience with VTC systems, network administration, operations, and infrastructure support
- Ability to work 24/7 shift and weekend schedules
- Licensed and able to drive a vehicle
- Ability to climb a ladder and lift at least 40 lbs
- US citizenship required for access to sensitive information
