Job Summary
VTC Engineer needed to support Vista Innovative Solutions in Rock Island, IL. You will serve as a subject matter expert for audio/video teleconferencing networks (VTC) including HMI, analyze and resolve VTC automation challenges, plan and execute VTC network installations and hardware upgrades, perform complex troubleshooting on conferencing equipment, ensure secure VTC operations, design and develop end-to-end technical solutions, prepare design reviews and user/operational guides, and assist with installs and maintenance of VTC systems across high-security environments. Strong written/verbal communication, team collaboration, and adherence to scheduling deadlines are required; candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent, 5+ years in telecommunication/VTC operations, DoD security requirements experience, and relevant certifications with eligibility for a U.S. Secret Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent
- Significant work with VTC equipment
- 5+ years of combined experience in telecommunication systems operations and management
- Experience with DoD military missions, security requirements
- Knowledge of VTC hardware/software (Crestron, Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco)
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, A+ or Network+ before hire
- U.S. Secret Security Clearance eligibility
