Job Summary
Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for assigned patients, ensuring coordination across disciplines, physicians, and support staff. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures while assessing, planning, intervening, and advocating for patient needs throughout the continuum of care. Reevaluate patient responses and outcomes to revise plans or make referrals as necessary, consistently ensuring evidence-based practice and compliance with infection control and HIPAA standards. Collaborate with the healthcare team to supervise, monitor, and delegate care activities while providing education on treatment plans and discharge strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)
