Job Summary
Perform routine to complex sample preparation and analysis to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in various formulations and biological matrices. Follow validated analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision, review results against SOP acceptance criteria, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation. Operate high-end automated equipment while developing troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues, ensuring adherence to GLP principles and GMP safety standards. Work the 2nd shift in a laboratory setting with direct supervision, managing time effectively to complete assignments within expected frames.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, molecular biology or similar
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-1 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience
- Experience performing immunoassays, ELISA or similar testing
- Manual dexterity (pipetting, operate lab equipment, etc.)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Ability to work in Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C
- Ability to tolerate Fluctuating Temps hot/cold
- Laboratory Setting
- Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
- Office
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Standing for full shift
- Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

- May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments
- Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities
- Ability to plan, schedule and carry out work for successful project completion
- Familiar with operating computers and data acquisition programs
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Able to communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instruction
- Cooperate with coworkers within an organized team environment or work alone with supervision
- Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
- Maintain a laboratory notebook and complete all documentation with clear and accurate language and according to the SOP
- Proficient in the use of analytical instrumentation
- Power User proficiency (CAL/QC/SPF Preps, Sample Dilution Block Preps, etc.)
- Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision
- Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications
- Consistently documents accurately within appropriate documentation system
- Instrument maintenance of high-end automated/technical equipment
- Develops basic troubleshooting skills (hardware and/or software)
- Operates with direct supervision
- Follows best practices and SOP requirements
