Job Summary

The VPP Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the facility’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) to ensure ongoing OSHA VPP Star compliance. Key responsibilities include coordinating VPP activities, preparing for audits, supporting safety committees, developing corrective actions, and conducting root cause analyses. The role demands experience with VPP initiatives in an industrial setting and a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations. A Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field is preferred, and familiarity with safety management systems and strong communication skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or leading VPP initiatives in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Experience preparing for VPP audits, including documentation, employee interviews, and facility readiness
  • Ability to collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Develop and track corrective actions from inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Conduct root cause analyses and ensure timely resolution of findings
  • Analyze and report safety performance metrics and trends
  • Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives
  • Maintain required OSHA and VPP documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety programs

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance auditing
  • Experience with safety committees, corrective action planning, and employee engagement
  • Familiarity with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and safety data trending
  • Experience preparing for external audits (OSHA, VPP recertification, etc.)
  • Expert understanding of VPP and OSHA requirements
  • Strong EHS regulatory and safety management system knowledge
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
