Job Summary
Lead daily classroom activities and implement the Wonder of Learning curriculum to support Florida VPK standards and Kindergarten readiness. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom; communicate with families about child progress; ensure health and safety per licensing; participate in ongoing professional development; observe, assess, and document children's learning; collaborate with Assistant and Resource Teachers; model positive guidance to support social-emotional development and conflict resolution.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Florida VPK credential requirements must be met or in progress
- CDA preferred
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Strong understanding of Kindergarten readiness, early literacy, classroom routines, and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
