Job Summary
Lead the development of Orennia’s long-term fundamental UK power market forecasts and analytics, build and maintain UK client relationships, lead business development and client meetings, represent Orennia at industry events, evolve modelling approaches for UK market drivers (demand, generation buildout, interconnection, policy impacts), oversee power market simulations, translate analytical outputs into actionable insights for UK utilities, developers, investors and infrastructure funds, and recruit/mentor a growing UK-focused team; collaborate with product and engineering to tailor datasets and tools for the UK market with potential European expansion.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in power markets or energy analytics, with a strong focus on the UK electricity market
- Strong technical foundation with Python and SQL
- Experience applying analytical models to real-world commercial or investment decisions
- Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready insights
- Experience contributing to or leading commercial initiatives, including client development and revenue growth
- Track record of leadership, including mentoring junior team members or managing small teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
