Job Summary
Engage in business development by maintaining contacts to develop new trust and wealth management relationships and deepen existing ones in your market and surrounding areas. Proactively develop prospects from current retail and commercial customers, present services, and conduct seminars to attract new clients while maintaining and growing assets under management. Provide input on estate administration relationships, develop interpreting strategies, recommend tax planning opportunities, and coordinate trust agreements with clients and intermediaries. Manage investments for wealth services accounts, review holdings, and administer accounts in accordance with governing instruments and banking regulations. Keep current on market trends to provide competitive strategies, maintain accurate records, and comply with established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Specialized training in trust and wealth management
- 5-7 years of progressive trust and wealth management experience
- Minimum of 5 years of trust and wealth management department experience
- Thorough knowledge of trust administration and financial markets
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to interact with customers and employees with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
- Resourceful, innovative and well organized
- Ability to assess problems and/or unusual situations and develop logical solutions
- Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment
- Strong ethical focus
- Unscheduled evening and weekend work will be needed to meet the needs of customers and department manager
- Out-of-town and overnight business travel will be required
- Work on some Saturdays will be required
- Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds of office supplies and equipment
- Some bending, turning, and twisting required
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Trust and Financial Advisor or Certified Financial Planner designation preferred
