Job Summary

VP, Total Rewards at Marqeta will lead the global total rewards strategy, overseeing compensation programs (base pay, variable pay, equity incentives) and employee benefits, ensure regulatory and governance alignment, provide guidance to senior leadership and the Compensation Committee, and drive continuous improvement of total rewards through technology and best practices. The role requires 10+ years in total rewards/compensation/benefits, strong executive-facing and cross-functional collaboration skills, and hands-on leadership of a compensation and benefits team. The position is Flex First with remote work available anywhere in the United States or from the Oakland office. Salary bands are tiered by location (National, Premium, Premium Plus) as part of a flexible pay framework. The successful candidate will manage global programs, ensure equity and diversity compliance, and partner with Legal, Finance, and People functions to maintain compliance and strategic alignment.
