Job Summary
Lead structuring of complex investment transactions across private credit, structured credit, asset-backed finance, and fund strategies for Ares Insurance Solutions. Design capital-efficient structures that align with insurance liabilities, regulatory frameworks (U.S. RBC, Bermuda BSCR, Cayman MCR/PCR), and portfolio objectives. Serve as primary point of contact for rating agencies, evaluating terms, legal structures, and cash flow waterfalls while partnering with internal teams on documentation and governance. Provide senior leadership with recommendations on risk mitigants, liquidity, and statutory treatment. Report to the Head and Chief Investment Officer.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in structuring transactions, insurance investments, structured finance, investment banking, private credit, reinsurance, asset management, insurance solutions, or capital markets
- Significant experience structuring investments for insurance company balance sheets
- Deep understanding of U.S. insurance regulatory capital, including NAIC designations, RBC, statutory accounting, and insurance investment constraints
- Good working knowledge of Bermuda and Cayman insurance capital frameworks, including BSCR, MCR/PCR, and related solvency considerations
- Experience with structured credit, asset-backed finance, private credit, securitizations, fund structures, reinsurance transactions, financing vehicles, and/or lending platforms
- Ability to evaluate transaction economics, cash flow waterfalls, collateral structures, legal documentation, accounting treatment, tax considerations, and rating agency implications
- Proven ability to lead complex transactions across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong executive presence and ability to present clearly to investment committees, senior management, boards, regulators, and rating agencies
