Job Summary
Build and lead a high-performing, geographically distributed team of government affairs professionals while managing the annual budget for external firms and lobbyists. Define the multi-year legislative roadmap, anticipate evolving regulatory trends, and serve as a key advisor to the C-suite on political risk and business strategy. Act as the primary steward of corporate reputation in state capitols, ensuring legislators and regulators champion the company's customers and business. Cultivate strategic alliances with industry leaders to set the agenda for the gaming sector and draft routine internal updates on legislative progress. Work closely with legal, comms, product, and marketing teams to support the user community. This role requires 12+ years of experience in high-level policy and managing multi-jurisdictional government affairs operations within tech or gaming industries.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in high-level policy, government, and/or public affairs roles
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-jurisdictional government affairs operations within tech, gaming, or highly regulated consumer industries
- Experience leading teams and setting strategy
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and external stakeholders
- The ability to distill complex competitive and policy dynamics into short, high-impact, politically attuned messaging for both internal and external audiences
- The ability to quickly forge connections and build relationships, both internal and external
- A proven capability to navigate ambiguity and high-stakes political environments, making decisive, well-reasoned choices that protect the business while fueling its momentum
- A conviction that there's always a way through and the persistence to keep adapting until you find the right solution
- Ability to pass key personnel submissions and background checks as part of gaming licenses
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must be available for Atlanta or Washington, DC.
- Must be willing to consider remote candidates
