Job Summary
Drive new small business and commercial relationships with annual revenues up to $5 million through consistent prospecting, outbound calling, networking, and community engagement. Develop commercial business in a designated market by identifying clients with additional profit potential and creating action plans to expand those relationships. Conduct regular coaching sessions with branch staff on retention strategies, needs-based conversations, and qualified referrals while serving as a subject matter expert in business development. Partner with other lines of business to deliver coordinated relationship coverage and support the Bank's overall goals. Maintain a strong local presence through active leadership in professional organizations and community events. This full-time role requires flexibility for travel, evenings, and Saturdays, with compensation of $100,000 to $140,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of banking and/or financial services experience
- Ability to prospect and close new business client relationships
- Knowledge of the Bank's products and services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent client service skills, both internal and external, and with strong follow-through
- Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales, growth, and referral targets
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, solution-oriented demeanor in all situations
- Ability to work successfully as an individual contributor and as a part of a team in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and support change management initiatives
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to other locations/branches, generally during normal business hours but may include evenings and Saturdays
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior business development experience
- Proficiency in core banking systems such as Fiserv
- Knowledge of Treasury Management products and services
- Willingness to learn Treasury Management products and services
