Job Summary
Drive business growth by prospecting and closing new small business and commercial relationships with annual revenues up to $5 million within a defined market. Conduct outside business development activities including calls, networking, and community engagement to build a strong pipeline. Coach branch staff on client retention strategies, relationship-building techniques, and referral opportunities while serving as a subject matter expert in business development. Maintain a strong local community presence through leadership roles in professional organizations to drive brand awareness. Partner with other lines of business to deliver coordinated relationship coverage and support overall bank goals. This full-time role requires flexibility for travel to branches, including evenings and Saturdays, and focuses on expanding external business networks and centers of influence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of banking and/or financial services experience
- Ability to prospect and close new business client relationships
- Ability to build and expand external business networks and centers of influence
- Knowledge of the Bank's products and services
- Ability to identify client needs and cross-sell bank products and services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in core banking systems such as Fiserv
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent client service skills, both internal and external, and with strong follow-through
- Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales, growth, and referral targets
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, solution-oriented demeanor in all situations
- Ability to work successfully as an individual contributor and as a part of a team in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and support change management initiatives
- Willingness to travel to other locations/branches, generally during normal business hours but may include evenings and Saturdays based on business development needs
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the U.S.
