Job Summary
Conduct detailed valuations of distressed assets, including corporate entities and commercial real estate, using discounted cash flow, liquidation, and market-based methodologies. Develop financial models to assess recovery prospects under various restructuring and enforcement strategies while evaluating borrower business plans and cash flow forecasts. Support remedial management teams in developing exit strategies and prepare valuation reports for internal credit committees, senior management, and regulatory reviews. Liaise with Special Assets Transactors, Credit Risk Managers, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure coordinated problem-credit management and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Monitor portfolio performance and identify changes in collateral values or borrower circumstances that may impact recovery outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in careers like Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics and similars
- Advance level in English and Spanish
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, corporate restructuring, distressed debt, special assets, or corporate/investment banking
- Ability to analyze and evaluate financial statements, corporate business plans, and cash flows across a diverse range of industrial sectors
- Hands-on experience with corporate valuation methodologies, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and relative valuation (multiples) techniques
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate, influence decisions, and build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously with high accountability, while also collaborating effectively as a proactive team player
- Able to work in a hybrid mode from Mexico
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or an equivalent advanced professional degree
- Experience working with non-performing loans, distressed debt, restructuring transactions, or insolvency cases
