Job Summary
Partner with the Regional Manager to execute a marketing plan that cultivates sources for core and core-plus loans, including initial underwriting, credit analysis, and investment committee presentations. Solicit mortgage loans through correspondent bankers and brokers, review and underwrite proposed loans, and negotiate term sheets and structures. Conduct detailed analysis and presentations for the investment committee, coordinate legal counsel for transaction closings, and inspect security assets. Produce required volumes of quality mortgage loan transactions at target yields while researching new territories and maintaining relationships with brokers and borrowers. Based in Atlanta, GA with a hybrid schedule and frequent travel to assigned territories.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years' work experience in commercial real estate
- Ability to evaluate real estate and real estate markets
- Detailed knowledge of mortgage loan documentation, analysis, and legal issues
- Knowledge of alternative investments and relative value
- Management and leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- This role will be based in our Atlanta, GA office
- Frequent travel to assigned territory to inspect assets, build and strengthen correspondent relationships and develop knowledge of the local markets within the territory is required
