Job Summary
Senior VP-level PR leader responsible for shaping and elevating Doximity's reputation within healthcare technology and AI ecosystems. Designs and executes an integrated communications strategy that resonates with clinicians, health systems, partners, investors, and media; oversees media relations, thought leadership platforms, and executive visibility; collaborates with Brand, Marketing, Product, and Legal to ensure message alignment; develops PR metrics and manages crisis and issues communications; requires extensive healthcare/health tech experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 15+ years in public relations or strategic communications and a proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives. Location is San Francisco, CA, and the role is full-time with on-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not required
- 15+ years of progressive experience in public relations or strategic communications, including substantial leadership responsibility
- Significant experience in healthcare, health technology, life sciences, or closely related regulated industries; familiarity with clinical, regulatory, and policy dynamics
- Proven track record of elevating a company’s reputation, driving meaningful media coverage, and shaping public narratives in complex, fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders, managing agencies, and driving complex, cross-functional PR initiatives without direct team management responsibility
- Deep expertise in media relations, corporate communications, executive visibility, and issues/crisis management
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect emerging market trends, health policy developments, and technology innovation to differentiated storytelling opportunities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive narratives for diverse audiences
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, from long-term planning to rapid response execution
