VP, Property Major Case Large Loss

VP, Large Loss Property leads Travelers' Large Loss Property organization, overseeing direct handling of high-exposure property claims nationwide and providing strategic oversight for large losses internationally. This role owns the strategy, development, and execution for the Large Loss organization, including aligning goals and objectives, setting policies, standards, and processes that govern handling large losses, and identifying and evaluating internal and external issues to achieve objectives related to good faith claims handling practices, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. It leads the Claim Large Loss Property organization, including the Major Case Unit, Property Litigation Unit, and Claim Accounting Services and collaborates closely with field teams. Partners with property product leadership to design and implement approaches that drive business results. Responsibilities include developing and leading nationwide strategies for Claim Large Loss Property with accountability for performance, budget, global coverage, and loss-adjustment expense management; managing property claims with authority up to $15MM and escalating to Claim EVP for higher values; overseeing cases valued in tens of millions, and sometimes over $100MM; maintaining direct contact with agents, brokers, lawyers, and other external parties; ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of high-exposure claims; evaluating severe and complex claims with coverage, liability, and damages analysis; providing guidance and strategies to claim professionals; partnering with Claim University to identify and present training programs; training and developing claim professionals; delivering technical and coverage expertise to ensure product consistency; performing other duties as assigned.
