VP Project Management (Plant Development)

Job Summary
Lead the full project lifecycle for the new production plant from planning to commissioning and drive the industrial scale-up of a graphite facility. Build and manage cross-functional project teams, coordinate external suppliers, contractors, and partners, establish project structures, timelines, budgets, reporting routines, and decision processes, oversee construction and installation activities with a focus on safety, quality, and progress, drive risk management and mitigation actions throughout the scale-up, support ongoing work at the pilot plant and guide the transition to semi-industrial and commercial operations, collaborate with engineering, operations, and management to align project execution with company strategy, and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and industrial regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Critical: Experience from building or scaling up new production facilities, taking projects from design through commissioning and into operation
- Experience from a scale-up or early-stage industrial company is a strong plus, but similar experience from stand-alone projects within larger companies is also valuable
- At least 8 years of experience in project management or industrial leadership roles
- Background can be from a wide range of sectors such as process, mining, chemical, energy, materials, or manufacturing. The key requirement is having led the setup of some form of production operation
- Deep understanding of process engineering, plant design, and industrial operations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment with limited structure and high ownership
- Strong leadership and communication skills
