Job Summary
The VP of Product Strategy & Operations will be integral to Gartner’s Global Product Management Leadership team, responsible for leading product management initiatives and improving operational practices. This role requires collaboration with GPM leaders to refine portfolio strategies, address performance challenges, and enhance team effectiveness. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), extensive experience in product strategy and management, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders and complex projects effectively. A proven track record in technology-based solutions and a strong analytical skill set are critical for driving business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with preference toward quantitative area of study
- 10+ years of progressive business experience
- 5+ years of product strategy / product management experience
- B2B information services experience preferred
- High-level proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to interpret PowerBI reporting
- Ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- Background in Management and/or Strategy Consulting preferred
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Track record of solving client problems with technology-based solutions
- Excellent understanding of business economics
- Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders
- Experience with market research, market opportunity sizing, market segmentation, pricing, creating value propositions, communications and training programs
- Commercial acumen and experience in working with Sales
- Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytics
- Ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects
