Job Summary
Develop strategic product management objectives and establish governance frameworks to oversee product execution, forms management, and regulatory filings across the Commercial and Excess & Surplus/Specialty portfolio. Lead a team of approximately 60 professionals, driving talent development, succession planning, and operational excellence while championing technology, automation, and artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and speed to market. Coordinate with cross-functional leaders including Business, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to translate strategic priorities into executable plans, ensuring accurate documentation and implementation of product changes. Establish and monitor performance metrics, service-level expectations, and quality standards to identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions. Partner with Underwriting and Business teams to define strategy and ensure products are effectively governed and maintained in compliance with internal and external requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field
- 15 years of insurance industry experience
- significant leadership experience in Product Management, Product Operations, Product Development, Regulatory Management, Underwriting Operations, or related functions
- Experience leading large-scale product organizations and managing leaders and teams
- Deep understanding of insurance product construction, forms, endorsements, filings, regulatory requirements, and governance
- Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, process improvement, and cross-functional initiatives
- Experience implementing technology, automation, and AI-enabled business solutions
- Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and organizational effectiveness skills
- Master's degree preferred
- Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, AU, CIC, ARM, or equivalent preferred
- Travel required
- This position could be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states
