Job Summary
Slack's VP Product, GM - Slack Platform leads the Slack Platform and 3P ecosystem, defining long-term strategy and monetization, building and managing partner programs, developer experience, and GTM motions to turn the ecosystem into a revenue-generating business. The role owns platform strategy, monetization models (revenue sharing, premium listings, platform tiers, certifications), partnerships with Salesforce and other ecosystem players, and cross-functional leadership across business development, partner success, developer relations, and platform operations. Responsibilities include owning the developer funnel, defining ecosystem health metrics (active apps, 3P DAU/MAU, marketplace GMV, partner-attributed revenue), driving app marketplace strategy, and ensuring platform revenue models align with Slack’s business goals. Required experience includes 10+ years in product/BD/partnerships, proven ability to scale developer ecosystems in B2B SaaS or platform companies, P&L ownership, API/platform economics knowledge, and strong written/spoken communication and negotiation skills. The role emphasizes building a scalable platform business with alignment to Salesforce and a broad enterprise go-to-market mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in product, business development, partnerships, or general management roles
- experience building or scaling a developer/partner ecosystem at a B2B SaaS or platform company
- experience owning a P&L or running a business with revenue accountability
- deep understanding of API/platform economics
- strong commercial instincts for structuring deals and revenue outcomes
- ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
- experience in enterprise software GTM (field sales, solution engineering, or alliances)
- familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem and Slack platform integration
- experience taking a platform from nascent to scaled commercial business
- leadership and communication skills
