Job Summary
Lead and scale Covera’s Population Health program (Protect Seniors) as VP, Population Health, owning end-to-end performance from data intake through gap closure to outcome validation. Build and manage executive sponsor relationships, align on strategic objectives, and drive adoption of Population Health across markets by engaging ACOs, PCP groups, and radiology facilities. Partner with Growth/Commercial to structure deals for successful delivery, collaborate with product/tech/AI/analytics to prepare for scale, establish KPIs, and maintain high-trust client relationships while contributing to interview panels and cross-company initiatives. The role is remote-first with approximately 50% travel to meet prospects/partners and attend events, and requires Medicare Advantage fluency, strong stakeholder management, and a proven ability to drive customer success and operational excellence across diverse payer/provider ecosystems.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years healthcare experience, with some combination of healthtech start-up, consulting and/or enterprise healthcare (payor, provider) background
- Deep Medicare Advantage experience, including strong understanding of value-based care and risk sharing arrangements between payors and providers
- Proven track record collaborating with payors, providers, or both on high-priority, high-visibility initiatives
- Background in customer success, account management, or population health operations - with a track record of retaining and growing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across teams at all levels of an organization, aligning resources and work efforts with business goals
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics simply and clearly
- Unique combination of healthcare strategic thinking with execution orientation to drive impact
- Humble, thoughtful leader with a high EQ and proven ability to build trust and collaborate with a wide range of colleagues and business partners
- Comfortable operating in a startup environment without established infrastructure - bringing real ownership and an individual contributor mindset, proactively identifying problems and running toward solutions rather than waiting to be directed
- Experience engaging directly with primary care physicians and PCP leadership with a demonstrated ability to build trust, drive clinical buy-in, and convert provider engagement into measurable outcomes
