Job Summary
Lead the strategy, systems, processes, compliance, and service delivery functions of Human Resources to ensure operational excellence and scalability. Guide and align your team with Nutmeg's vision by setting clear direction, organizing people and resources, and fostering a culture of accountability. Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and employment regulations across all locations. Administer and optimize HRIS, payroll, and performance management systems, developing technology roadmaps that support automation and workforce analytics. Manage benefits, compensation, and vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring service-level agreements to maximize value. Drive process standardization, project management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and support organizational growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field
- A minimum of seven years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience overseeing HRIS, payroll, and other HR technologies
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects, process improvement efforts, and organizational change initiatives
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR operations, employment law compliance, and employee lifecycle processes
- Strong expertise in HR technology, systems administration, data governance, and reporting
- Demonstrated skill in vendor management, contract negotiation, and third-party service oversight
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives, project management efforts, and operational scaling strategies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and empathetically
- Ability to understand and manage their emotions and be attuned to the emotions of others
- Ability to act with integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior
- Ability to make informed and timely decisions based on information, analysis, and critical thinking

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in related discipline
- Experience within a credit union, banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environment
- Preferred credentials include SHRM-SCP, SPHR or similar
