Job Summary
VP, Operations Transformation at Merkle leads a team integrating AI into core operations across finance, staffing, project delivery, and sales operations. Responsible for strategic vision on how AI should transform operations, identifying high-leverage opportunities, and inspiring a distributed team of AI practitioners to deliver scalable, adopted AI-powered solutions. Requires extensive experience with LLMs, AI-driven solution development, and executive-level communication; strong ability to define problems clearly, drive measurable improvements, and partner with cross-functional leaders (finance, HR, resource management, delivery). The role entails building and maintaining a lean, high-impact team (senior business analyst, technical architect, machine learning engineer, data/modeling specialist, AI-native analysts) largely based in the Philippines, with a governance-minded approach to ensure sustainable operations and continual value realization. Location flexibility includes remote options with office presence in major U.S. hub cities; reporting to COO; salary range $163k-$275k per year with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in operations, AI-driven solution development, or a related leadership role
- Hands-on experience building with large language models (LLMs)
- Experience shipping AI-powered tools in production
- Experience with full solution lifecycle from scoping to deployment
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management
- Experience leading distributed or offshore teams
- Strong ability to articulate a vision for AI-enabled operations
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, or equivalent
- Familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI practices
