Job Summary
Executive leadership role leading the enterprise-wide hotel accounting function for the IHS portfolio. Oversees property-level and corporate accounting teams, timely production of monthly financial statements and ownership reporting packages, and maintenance of accounting records and internal controls compliant with US GAAP and USALI. Partners with leadership and vendors to deliver accurate financial information across the portfolio, mentors staff, ensures compliance across multiple entities, and supports lenders and brand standards across Marriott Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio properties.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a senior-level accounting role, with progressive leadership responsibility
- Site-level hotel or hospitality accounting experience required; multi-property and multi-brand experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant designation preferred
- Working knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)
- Experience with hotel-industry accounting and PMS platforms (e.g., ProfitSword/ProfitSage, M3, Hotel Effectiveness, Birchstreet) preferred
- Familiarity with Marriott brand reporting requirements is a strong plus
- Proven leadership in a team environment, with a high sense of urgency, detail orientation, and results-driven mindset
- Strong communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to relate clearly to non-financial colleagues and ownership
