Job Summary
Vice President of Sales & Business Development for a global freight, warehouse, and hazardous materials-focused organization. Drive top-line growth through strategic new business development, nurture a high-performance sales team, and foster strong customer partnerships. Responsibilities include leading and coaching the sales organization, developing and executing a data-driven sales strategy, expanding pipeline, ensuring seamless cross-department handoffs, negotiating complex contracts, implementing RFI/RFP processes, and presenting strategy and performance insights to executives and boards. Requires global experience negotiating major deals with senior decision-makers, deep knowledge of international freight, warehouse and supply chain, hazardous materials, and a strong track record in growing revenue while managing a large, diverse pipeline. Travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications
- Must have International Freight experience
- Must have Warehouse and Supply Chain experience
- Must have Hazardous Materials experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience as a sales and business development leader
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceuticals, Life Science, or equivalent
- Global experience and success in negotiating major deals with senior-level decision-makers
- Proven track record in driving new business development and diversifying revenue streams
- Skilled in building expansive qualified pipelines that exceed growth targets
- Ability to coach and mentor your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Strong data-driven approach, combined with a consultative sales mentality and strategic thinking
- Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, chemicals, and life sciences is highly preferred
- Up to 50% travel required
