Job Summary
Lead and direct the internal development of new product development projects in the dietary supplements field, defining customer expectations, investigating materials and processing options, planning timelines and budgets, and ensuring on-time, on-budget launches. Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Sales, CSO, and customers to align on requirements, develop statements of work, and drive continuous improvement. Manage direct reports, oversee internal and external activities related to new product development, and participate in regulatory compliance and industry conferences to enhance customer experience. Requires a PhD in Biology or Neuroscience and 10+ years of R&D/project management experience in the nutrition/nutritionals sector; strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; Chinese language is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Biology or Neuroscience, such as Molecular Biology, Nutritional Science, Biochemistry and Nutrition, or Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Nutrition
- 10+ years of R & D and project management experience in dietary ingredients/supplements
- proven experience in writing and developing comprehensive white papers
- leadership experience and ability to collaborate across departments
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- proficiency with Microsoft Office
