Job Summary
Lead the in-country HR function for NS BlueScope Malaysia by strengthening leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and organizational culture through practical frameworks and capability plans. Align HR strategies with business priorities to improve workforce practices, equip leaders with necessary tools, and reinforce process rigour, compliance, and transparency across all HR activities. Develop and mentor the local HR team to ensure a collaborative, high-performing function that partners effectively with business leaders while driving the adoption of AI and digital technologies for a future-ready organization.
Required Qualifications
- substantial HR leadership experience
- proven experience leading an HR function in a complex operating environment
- Direct experience working with unions in the Malaysian manufacturing context
- strong technical grounding across HR policies, practices, employee relations, learning and development, and organisational capability
- ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders
- ability to influence across functions
- ability to translate people priorities into practical outcomes for the business
Desired Qualifications
- experience gained in a multinational organisation
- A degree in Human Resources or a related field
