Job Summary
VP of Engineering at Compliance & Risks leads the engineering organisation to scale and innovate, partnering with Product, Design, Security, and Executives to shape roadmaps and investments, build a high-performing leadership team, and establish guardrails and technical standards for responsible AI-assisted coding. Responsible for architecture, observability, reliability, security, platform maturity, and budgeting/headcount to deliver near-term outcomes and long-term value. Will drive adoption of AI-assisted and agentic development practices, emphasize maintainable systems, and position engineering as a trusted strategic partner across the business.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience leading engineering organisations at scale
- Strong track record building high-performing teams and coaching engineering leaders
- Comfortable helping teams make technical decisions and remove blockers
- Deep technical credibility in architecture, reliability, and platform evolution
- Experience with AWS, React/NextJS, Java, and Python
- Experience in modern SaaS, cloud-native, and product-led environments
- Understanding of AI-assisted and agentic development and its implications
- Strong ownership of delivery disciplines, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication skills across engineers, executives, and boards
