Job Summary
Leadership-driven Principal Civil Engineer role leading site development and stormwater projects from concept through construction. Oversee multidisciplinary coordination, mentor junior staff, manage schedules and budgets, review calculations and construction documents for technical accuracy and code compliance, lead permitting efforts, integrate sustainable design practices, conduct site visits, and contribute to business development and client relationship management. Requires PE license, 8–10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). Hybrid work arrangement in Coats, NC or Lakeland, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 8–10+ years of civil engineering experience in site development and stormwater
- Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, StormCAD proficiency
- Leadership and project management experience
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Regulatory knowledge of environmental development standards
- Preferred LEED accreditation or sustainability-focused certifications
