Job Summary
Remote VP of Accounting & Finance leading the financial stewardship for a nationwide real estate and property management platform. Serves as the senior financial leader for the property management business, overseeing all corporate and property-level accounting and reporting, partnering with executive leadership on strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and long-term growth, and ensuring GAAP compliance, internal controls, risk management, audits, tax compliance, and affordable housing program requirements (HUD/LIHTC). Focus on building a high-performance finance team, delivering executive-level financial reporting, dashboards, and KPIs, and driving system optimization and automation to scale the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required or equivalent senior-level accounting expertise
- 15+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
- Extensive experience in property management accounting and multi-entity financial environments
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, nonprofit reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to partner with executive leadership and influence decision-making
- Roll-up-sleeves attitude and interest to work within a no-ego culture
