Job Summary
Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for payments, money movements, member operations, and card services. Direct all payment channels including ACH, wires, Zelle, RTP, FedNow, and digital wallets while overseeing deposit operations, account maintenance, and exception processing. Lead teams responsible for Member Operations and Card Services, partnering with Technology, Fraud, Compliance, and Business Development to deliver innovative payment solutions and operational excellence. Establish and monitor key productivity metrics, quality measures, and member experience outcomes while ensuring compliance with NACHA, Regulation E, and BSA/AML requirements. Manage vendor relationships for payment processors and fintech partners, evaluate emerging technologies like stablecoins and blockchain, and lead organizational change management for payment modernization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in financial services operations, payments, card services, or banking operations
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing managers and multiple functional areas
- Must have personal computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft programs at an intermediate skill level
- Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to create and maintain accurate reliable records
- Requires good memory, knowledge retention skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and duties effectively
- Requires excellent follow-through skills, member relations skills, and sound business judgment
- Ability to interface with others in a positive and professional manner
- Goal-oriented with a desire to work in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and be self-directed when necessary as well as the ability to work and accomplish goals in a team environment
- Has regular and predictable attendance which is essential

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA
- Experience leading payment operations, deposit operations, and card programs within a credit union or financial institution
- Deep understanding of payments, money movement, deposit operations, and card services
- Strong knowledge of ACH, cards, wires, RTP, FedNow, disputes, and digital payment channels
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing payment and deposit operations
- Understanding of emerging payment technologies, including stablecoins, digital assets, cryptocurrency, blockchain-based payment rails, and their potential applications within financial services
- Ability to assess the strategic, operational, compliance, and risk implications associated with cryptocurrency and stablecoin payment solutions and partnerships
- Familiarity with evolving regulatory guidance related to digital assets and blockchain-enabled payment ecosystems
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operational and technology initiatives
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions across business and technology teams
- Knowledge of credit union rules, regulations, and policies
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing and excellent telephone manner
