Job Summary

VP Marketing leads GSTS’s end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for a dual-use maritime AI platform, owning positioning, demand generation, sales enablement, content, events, and brand across Defence & Security and Shipping/Supply Chain. Responsibilities include shaping ICPs and personas, sharpening value proposition and proof points, building core sales assets, planning conference strategy, establishing a disciplined funnel and pipeline reporting, leading a scalable content program, owning website and brand refresh, and partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Product/Technology to ensure marketing claims align with reality. The role emphasizes building a marketing operating system with KPIs, cadence, and handoffs with RevOps, and requires collaboration with executive leadership and external stakeholders. Qualifications call for 10+ years in senior B2B marketing, SaaS/enterprise software experience, domain experience in defence/security/maritime/logistics, proven ability to scale marketing in an early-stage SaaS environment, strong product marketing capabilities, sales enablement asset creation, and executive-level communication skills. Remote-first culture in Canada with optional offices in Dartmouth (NS) and Montreal (QC).

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years as a leader in B2B marketing
  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software
  • Marketing to defence/security, maritime, supply chain/logistics, geospatial sectors
  • Proven experience building a marketing engine in early-stage B2B SaaS
  • Strong product marketing capabilities (positioning, messaging, segmentation, persona development)
  • Experience producing sales enablement assets and content programs for long-cycle enterprise deals
  • Operational discipline with marketing metrics, funnel definitions, attribution basics, pipeline reporting
  • Experience working with Salesforce/CRM and RevOps
  • Ability to work with sales/technical SMEs to produce domain-heavy content
  • Excellent executive communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • Compliance, security, or role-specific requirements (mentioned in posting)
